PROJECT ENGINEER
Camar has a position available assisting our Project Engineering and Process Automation teams. The Project Engineer is responsible to take projects from initial contact through to final completion. Duties of the Project Engineer may include:
• Diligent communications with clients, third party firms and contractors
• Keen attention to detail
• Regular meetings and project follow-up from concept through completion
• Discover the client's project requirements
• Assist the client in determining their own project requirements
• Develop project concepts
• Gather all required on-site data including required plant and equipment measurements, specifications, speeds, capacities, layout, space etc.
• Plant design
• Plant layout
• Site layout
• Equipment selection
• Equipment design
• Concept as well as detailed CAD drafting with a recent version of AutoCAD
• Close collaboration with the design team
• Review designs performed by other members of the design team
• Provide Professional Engineer stamps as required according to discipline experience.
• Contract and project documentation and administration
• Project management
• Project cost control
• Scheduling
• Site meetings
• Site visits
• Start-up commissioning
• Undertake or manage all disciplines including mechanical, structural, electrical, automation
• Prepare project proposals and specifications
• Prepare equipment quotations as required for direct inquiries and to assist sales representatives
Applicants must have one of the following:
• Professional Engineer license in the province of Ontario
• Eligible to become a licensed Engineer in the province of Ontario
• Or equivalent experience
Preference may be given to applicants with farm and/or feed mill experience.
